CommissionsChrysalis Arts undertakes all aspects of the delivery of public art projects from inception to implementation for a wide range of commissioned work. Feasibility, research and development, community, consultation and involvement, initial and detailed design and specifications, manufacture, installation, documentation and evaluation. Clients include developers, local authorities, regional agencies and private sector organisations. Chrysalis Arts are experienced at producing public art in a broad palate of media including: light, fibre optics and light projection, stainless, mild, corten and enamelled steel, cast ferrous and non-ferrous metals, cut and carved stone, pebble and ceramic mosaic, sandblasted, stained and laminated glass, polycarbonate. The company is very experienced at working with sub contractors and has a network of specialist artists, crafts and trades people to utilise in combination with their own in-house skills. CollaborationA collaborative, inclusive approach to the public art process is fundamental to Chrysalis' creative practice. The company has extensive experience of working closely with architects, planners, landscape architects, regeneration officers and developers to realise the maximum potential of each project. Examples of artists' collaborations can be seen in projects such as Wythenshawe Forum for permanent work and Artists in Transition for temporary work. |
