The project provided an opportunity for Chrysalis to work within the company's own community and to produce temporary public installations. Chrysalis was perhaps better known at that time for the creation of permanent pieces of public art, often in cities, and the artists relished the chance to focus on their rural environment.

The artists created opportunities for local people to get involved through creative workshops and the results formed part of the final exhibitions.
