Fabric Panels

Two steel frames support a series of 16 fabric panels, designed and hand printed by textile artist Helen Turner.

The fabric frames are suspended at an angle of 45 degrees from the ceiling and positioned across the east-west route through the concourse. The design work was inspired by photos taken of the surface textures in and around the Forum by local people in community workshops run by the artist. She has also represented the 'spinning emblem' repeating pattern throughout the panels.
