Sign Walls Spinning Emblem

At the east and west entrances to the Forum, attached to each of the sign walls is a spinning emblem made of four stainless steel panels with glass square inserts. The glass is etched with a design relating to each of the key Forum themes: Learning, Leisure, Health and Childcare.

Fibre Optics

There are also a series of end-emitting fibre optic cables that pass through the sign wall with domed lenses on each end that will transmit light through it. By day the sign wall back, shadowed by the 'brise soleil', will appear pierced by pin points of light expressing a spiral spinning motion illuminated by the natural day light falling on the front of the wall. This effect will be heightened by sunlight and shadowing causing a spiral pierced shadow to fall on the Forum.

Banners

A series of printed vinyl banners designed by Van Nong are displayed around the Forum, they line the West approach roads to the car park and new Forum bus terminal. They surround Leningrad Square and the approach round to the east of the Forum.

The banners promote a new Forum image that includes a repetition of the four 'spinning' emblems that appear on the Sign walls and are echoed on the Interior and Exterior Mosaic and the Fabric Panels.
